Aquaponic Process

Aquaponics is a system of aquaculture where the ammonia and debris produced by farmed fish or other aquatic animals provide nutrients for plants grown hydroponically after the cycle of providing the plants nitrate the water is purified and is given back to the fish.
This way of aquaculture combines conventional aquaculture with hydroponic agriculture. All you need to get your own aquaponics system going is a fish tank, fish, plants or plant seeds, plant pots, seeding trays, mosquitofish, wooden grow bed, a water pump to send the water to and from the plant, PVC pipes, and a purifier to return it to the fish and some growing media for your plants. Many plants do well in aquaponics than in other environments for example; Tomatoes, Leafy Lettuce, Watercress, Peppers (depends on the time of the year), Cucumbers, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Strawberries, Onions, Radishes, and Asparagus. The best fish for aquaponics is bluegill/bream, sunfish, crappie, koi, fancy goldfish, and pacu. To summaries the process of aquaponics, the fish produce waste. Then microbes and worms convert waste into fertilizer/ nitrate for plants. Lastly, plants filter water that soon gets purified and returns to fish.
