Profile
Arian Nicole is a multi-faceted performance artist and MC known both locally and nationally for
soul-stirring conscious raising music virtually absent in the modern cultural scene for women. Born in Peoria, Illinois Arian fell in love with
hip-hop after hearing iconic artist Rakim. She has since shared stages with legends of
hip-hop such as KRS ONE, Rakim, Jessica Care Moore, and Kindred the Family Soul. Arian Nicole has been a cultural activist and advocate for education on the power and artistic responsibility of artists in societal transformation. Over the years she has worked with
many grassroots organizations to impact youth on a positive level through arts. In, her hometown of Flint Michigan she established a
hip-hop self image organization CHANGE (Children Have A Natural Gravitation to Eminence) that gave young women a platform to express themselves through poetry. In 2018, they nominated her for the Mayors Arts Award in Phoenix AZ in the category of music. She is a member of the Phoenix LOC Ministry of Arts of Culture and she
serves as a teaching artist with the School of Hiphop

Nas, Lauryn Hill, Patrice Rushen, Kendrick Lamar, Nina Simone and other cultural greats who tapped into the universality of sound.
