The river provided an abundance of plants and herbs that had the ability to heal the body. The origin of essential oil was traced to 265 B.C. in the Temple of Edfu. That is where the essential oils soothing, healing oils, and aromatic creams were blended. The recipes are Inscribed on the inner walls of the temple.
